I'm pretty sure most of the people on my friends list has gotten sick and vomited since my last post. Makes me feel special. Here's a couple of thing that have happend since then:

- Wrote 40 pages of research in less than two days
- Hunting for a job/apartment/car
- Went to ACEN, Mini-Con, and AX
- Watched a lot of anime
- Done some Naka-Kon stuff
- Car got broken and broken into
- Cosplay sucks and is at a standstill
- yes, I'm still translating doujinshi, just not as fast as I and I'm sure others want

I will write more specifically on these things, hopefully, hopefully, hopefully.

In the end, you need to choose the next six people to be tagged and list their names.

1 - I have a mild oral fixation with metal objects. I chew on paper clips all the time at work and do the same with the tips of pins.
2 - I can't stand writing with pens that have clip things on them. Whenever I get a new pen I have to break it off. Sometimes I do it subconsiously when I'm using someone else's pen and they always look so shocked that I would deliberately break their own pen right in front of them.
3 - I don't like taking an even number of showers. One is standard, but when I have to take another in the same day I feel a new type of dirty. But oddly, after the thrid it isn't so bad.
4 - I monitor lots of blogs, as you know. I have over a dozen blogs I watch without telling the people. I find that once you do, they stop talking about you.
5 - When I breath deeply or take a good yawn, I burp. Sometimes it's pretty loud and most always happens in quiet places.
6 - I have ocular migraines in my right eyes. This means that for 5-10 minutes about once a month, my right eye goes blind temporarily. It first happend on the day whe had a really bad ice storm in Lawrence 4 years ago while driving (the best place for it to happen). It hasn't been too big a pain, unless driving or taking a test, and I like it b/c it connects me with Shaoran.

I won't tag anyone b/c that's my style.
Once again I'm back from a long hiatus. Not much has happened other than the con, it's wrap-up, and starting on three 20+ page papers that I have to do in less than one month. I'm sure I could talk about other stuff I've done, but I can't seem to remember anything else, so let's go to what I did last night: PAINTING EGGS!

I do this every year with my sister and we have a plethora of parts of old kits that we put together to make eggs. This year, we got a new kit that had puffy paint tubes. I worked only with these, and this is what I came up with.

The dye was supposed to be green, but it was very diluted b/c my sister put in too much water, and cold water at that. The green usually turn out a lot better.

Made the symbol on Hinata's jacket, and I don't think I've seen it anywhere else than that (someone else will probably know better). Retrospectively, I should have used red instead of purple, but I was saving it for my other egg. Considering my crappy art talent, I don't think in turned out so bad.

It's supposed to be the symbol on Sakura's sleeve. No other Naruto symbols came to mind. It turned out really crappy, much like the character.

Rebuilding a clan, one egg at a time. I don't want to use this one in the egg hunt b/c I don't want it hurt. I wonder if there's a way you can keep an egg on display.

I look forward to catching up on everyone's journals/lives. I'm pretty sure I'll have a lot more time, since I'll be doing some procrastinating for my papers.

Anime Update

I got to watch some anime over the break, thankfully. I started off by catching up on Bleach and rewatching the episodes I watched half a year ago. I'm very pleased with it, but it's the kind of series I want to put off for a long time and have 40+ episodes to watch in a row.

Next I watched Twelve Kingdoms which was everything I expected (i.e. great). Liked the first part, loved the second (Taiki is my favorite!), didn't care too much for the third, and was pleased with the fourth. I researched it online and hope to buy the novels because they have two main sections that weren't included in the anime: one before the time when the anime started about Taiki before he came into the Juuni Kokki world, and one dealing with Taiki after the events of the anime. For all info on the novels, visit http://www.otyaku.com/animeObserver/juunikokki/HWNS_info_FAQ.htm

Lastly, I watched the second half of Marmalade Boy. Typical shoujo and I loved it.

I've DLed the first 20 eps. of PoT and Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. I don't know if I should start PoT b/c I'll feel the urge to end it and I don't have time for that, so I will proably go with Jeanne.

I don't have to do much for the wedding, but the week absence from school will hurt me and makes me have my paper (due on Dec. 5th) seem really soon.

In other news, I recently placed an order on deepdiscountdvd.com.
第三十話：おれのコスプレイの未来 - Episode 30: My cosplaying future

Here are a few characters I've considered cosplaying. My next con will most likely be in four months (Naka-Kon) unless I go to OhayouCon in January. Comment on any you feel are good. They are not in any particular order.

Sexy no Jutsu Sakura Naruto - This is an original creation. I've seen a few done, but they've all been girls, which is stupid since Sakura's should be a guy. The costume is a red vest with white zig-zags around the openings on the front edge and around the vest. The pants could either be shorts or puffy pants like Ken from Street Fighter. The forehead protector would be worn on the forhead as most Konoha boys do. The hair could either be like Sarah's wig or like Hotaru's Shuichi wig, but would be pink.

Lv. 2 Sasuke Naruto - Oddly enough, I can't think of anything but negatives for this one. I don't want to be labeled as a one-character cosplayer. Plus, the costume sucks and is ugly. The wings would be hard and the face makeup would be hard, too. However, if I did it correctly it could make me a better cosplayer.

Shaoran Tsubasa Chronicle - I love Shaoran and cosplaying him would rock! I never like older people cosplaying his 10 yr. old version, but now that he's a teenager, it a little more believable. The costume wouldn't be so bad, either. However, I'd really want to pair with someone who does a good Sakura.

Sora Sukisho - Easy costume and cool hair. I don't know if the flipped hair is possible, but I'm talking with Nova about it. Again, I'd really like a Sunao to cosplay with me, b/c it would be so much cooler.

Uruno Damekko Doubutsu - So cute! I've always wanted to get an animal suit from a costume store for many years now. Granted it was a raccoon, but a wolf would be cool, too. Plus making it is bound to be cheaper. I like Uruno's character a lot too. For those who don't know about Damekko Doubutsu, it about animals that aren't anything like what they're supposed to be. Uruno is a wolf that is often depressed and scared and make poppouri. There's also a chain-smoking rabbit, drunk unicorn, clumsy cheeta, and orca that can't swim, and many others. It would be amazing to do a big group cosplay.

Wolfram Kyou Kara Maoh! - The costume requires much presision. Plus, I think people would think I was a state alchemist with a sword. Also, I'd really like to have a Yuri to cosplay with.

Hikaru Hikaru no Go - I have the shirt for this and was going to do this for Japan Festival, but I couldn't get the hair yellowed. I could easily get extensions and get the rest of the costume, but Hikaru is in middle school at this point. It may be too young of a character for me and I hate small characters being portrayed as a 6 ft. tall cosplayer.

Chrono Chrono Crusade - A very detailed costume, but would be good if it turns out. I've seen a few Chrono's and some are pretty good, so I'd have competition.

Ishida Bleach - Sarah recommended this. Ever since my home computer broke, I haven't been able to catch up on fansubs and have only seen about 10 episodes of Bleach, and I don't think this character was fully uncovered, making it the only one I don't have an attachment to and I pretty much have to really like a character to cosplay as him. I'm sure I will like him, though. Making his bow would be pretty cool.

Shannon Scrapped Princess - Detailed costume, but it totally kicks ass! Don't know how I'd do the sword without breaking con rules, though.

This took a lot of time, so you all better give your imput.

Last weekend was AWESOME! "SASUKE!" blush. yummy. talk. 8:00?!?! cancel. leave. good-bye. drive. home. cat. dog. fight. drive. sleep.

Anyway, I leave for NebrasKon tomorrow. I'm wondering how it will be because they seem to change their schedule every day, and as it is right now, there isn't much I want to do. But I suppose that will give me more time to talk to people. Plus, I'm going with Ian, Will, and Alex, so it should be a super fun trip all around. Plus, yesterday I took my wig to my hair stylist and she and amazing job with it! It looks so perfect now. It took her over an hour and I had to wait through some of her appointments b/c I thought it would only be 30 min, but it was worth it in the end. I'll have some pics from NebKon, so you can see it then.

I'm going to delete my previous "post" about the wig b/c I retracted it later and it doesn't have a Japanese name. But I didn't want Akane to think that I was deleting her comment, so, yes, icons would rock and I'm already 80% wanting to get a paid account and that would put me over the top. I mainly want a paid account to search other LJs to see who's gone to Naka-Kon and other cons. My curious ways get the best of me sometimes. But, lets not forget that it was I who brought the KC and KS groups together. You can all give your thanks to my spying abilities in a comment below.

Also, do you think I should wear my Sasuke cosplay both days of NebKon? I don't have anything else, plus I'm sorta breaking out where my head protector is. I just don't know if people will say "Again? Can't that person be more original?" However, I did it on Fri and Sat of ACen and got great reactions both days, but it's hard to see everyone who attends that con in one day, so I suppose those that took pics of me Sat didn't see me Fri. VOTE NOW!

P.S. - My next post will be about my new cosplay. Look for it!

got back from wig styling. the look of the wig (blue) is fine, but nova didn't have much time and set my appointment back and didn't have too much time to devote to my wig. It needs cutting in the front and on the sides and the back could use and inch more hair. I'm probably being too picky.

didn't know about the shoot on saturday. sorry. sarah and I will definately be there sunday, though.

I got 3 hrs. sleep last night so I'm going to take a nap and hopefully feel better when i wake up.

Edit: After getting some sleep, I don't think the wig looks all too bad. I guess I was just sleep deprived. It does need to be cut a little bit, but it's nothing that can't be fixed. However, I've never had good experiences with cutting hair. I never seem to make it look natural. I suppose I could have my hair stylist do it before NebrasKon and if no one at the photo shoot thinks they can do it, I'll just have to deal with it tomorrow.

    <lj:music>Slayers - Rumba Rumba</lj:music>

Mom cleared out some things of mine from the closet and is going to give them to good will. At this time I thought of Sarah and my pants and wondered if anyone else is interested in my clothing. So, here is a special chance to own something I no longer care about. Think of the value. Claim it before someone else does.

1. Pants I wore in 8th grade. 29/32

2. Same thing, but black.

3. This shirt has much sentimental value. I was performing a play in the 7th grade for some class and we decided on doing a hip version of the 3 Little Pigs. I was casted as the wolf. So for my costume I wore this shirt, very baggy pants, some "cool" shoes, something around my neck, and we did something with my hair. Anyway, it was fun and was the first time I remember getting a lead role in a school play. Size L

4. No meaning to this. I wore it a lot. Really liked it. Size L

5. Size L

6. Size XL

7. For some reason I found this in a catalog and got it. Don't know why. Size L

8. Got it from the same catalog. Also, three other of my friends got them too and we wore them together some days in middle school. It was fun. In fact, I don't think I want to part with this.

9-11. Shirts from when I was on a semi-soccer team in late middle school and early high school. It was an outside school thing b/c our school didn't have a team at the time. My friends really liked soccer and they pressured me into being on the team. I never like the games except when I was on the sidelines and I screamed "Try not to suck!" and other things at our team. Of perticular note is the shirt that was accidentally made as a 42 but then ripped off and replaced with a 41. 42 is always so close but out of my reach. On the back of all these is a large soccer ball, the number, and "Edwardsville Soccer League" on the blue on and "ESL" on the purple ones. Sizes L.

12. I've decided not to part with this one, either. It was made by a friend and we wore it all week before one of my friends got married. I like it a lot, but will never wear it again.
I haven't updated this thing in ages, so I'm just going to list the things that have happened.

- Japan Festival happened, which is very surprising. We emailed these people after they showed interest in us in April and emailed every month after that, and a week before the event they decide to contact us. And I thought KUAC was last minute. However, it turned out fine. People seemed happy at the game room and liked the vendors and we talked to lots of people about Naka-Kon. Also got to see Mizuno and the gang, although for a brief period of time. Everyone loved their costumes (especially one Japanese-speaking boy).

- Midterms came and went. I only have two classes, so it wasn't that hard. I know I did well on one but don't have the courage to look at my grade for the other class yet.

- I started to enroll for my classes for this semester. Yeah, should have done that sooner. Now I have to get signatures from everyone in every building on campus.

- A member of KUAC (Chris) invited some people to carve pumpkins. We went out to the best pumpkin patch in Lawrence (which is where my family always went every year) which was really big. Chris ended up painting on a pumpkin and bought and painted a squat-like pumpkin and a regular one to look like a toadstool from Mario Bros. I carved the NERV symbol into my pumpkin and thought it turned out nicely. Then I left it in our garage for the long weekend and when I came back it had molded horribly. I may post pictures of that later.

- I went to an amazing wig stylist! I've decided that I can't style my hair anymore for Sasuke b/c I loose some every time I do it and I don't know if I can afford to do that anymore. Her name is Nova and when I showed her the reference pictures and told her a friend recommended me to her, she knew it was Caitlin and even called her by name. She actually said "Caitlin and her friend" so I don't know which other person she was talking about. She wanted to know how they were doing and I said they were fine and that she got many compliments on it (which she did on the KUAC forums). We decided to order a wig that looks like Sarah's, but longer and black. Once it's here, which should be soon, she's going to call me and then style it. She thought it looked pretty tough, but said it was doable. The only problem is the dark blue streaks you sometimes see in Sasuke's hair. We don't know if those should be sprayed on or if she should weave in colored hair. I mainly see it on the sides of the back and on the peaks of the front hair. Having colored hair in the back is fine because it does the entire length, but since it only has color on the peaks of the hair on his forehead, it would look odd if the coloring went the entire length, or so I imagine. So we may have to go with spray. She said we could test with both. She was extremely flexible and you could tell she knew a lot about wigs. I'll keep everyone posted.

- I have a Halloween costume party tomorrow and I have no idea what to wear. I may just get all my old costumes out and arrange them on me. However, I already did that one year when I was a unicorn-turned-doctor (or a doctor-turned-unicorn, depending on your point of view) and also when I was a bi-curious, incarcerated unicorn (my unicorn head thing, a tight jail suit, and a big shimmering tie). If I had more time, I would go as the Noid, but I just thought of that costume today.

I briefly saw everyone's post before I posted and saw that there was a lot. I hope to post to them soon, but I may miss some or be really late.

    <lj:music>Please Twins - Second Flight</lj:music>

Two weekends ago my friend Brian had his 23rd B-day party. It was an 80's themed party where people were to come in costume in general 80's fashion or as an 80's icon. I wasn't planning on going in costume because my schedule was too hectic at the time, but I thought I should and constructed a list of costumes when I was working that morning. I had an easy, medium, and hard costume to choose from. The easy one was Ted from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. It's basically a black Metalica shirt, jeans, and I already had the longish, black hair. The medium one was the keyboardest from Flock of Seagulls. I had no idea who this band was and it was a suggestion from my co-worker. I liked the idea of having crazy hair, but once I looked it up on the internet, I saw that his hair was blond and I couldn't do that and felt unsatisfied not doing it right. So, I ended up doing my "hard" costume (which sadly wasn't completed) and did it in record time, about 1 1/2 hours which includes dying the shirt. And it is...

Boy George! I didn't get all of my braids done in ribbon like I wanted, but I think I did well for the time. I also planned to do these little yarn ball things on the buttons of the shirt, but I forgot about them. I've lost my base picture, but it had them on it. My lipstick had run off by this point b/c we didn't take pictures till later and it was hot out and my makeup sucked in the heat.

Here's eveyone who was in costume. All of them are high school friends and it was good seeing them again.

Some of my closer friends.

There was a projector that played a movie the entire night. We started off with Karake Kid and later watched Teen Wolf. However, in the intermission, the girl on the right challenged me to a dance-off and I gladly accepted. Here's my best attempt.

She kicked my ass, I'm sure.

I don't remember exactly what happened after that, but apparently it turned out like this.

For Tammy, Sarah, and Mizuno if she wants to doorbell ditch us at 4am, the room is 808. It's a smoking floor, but the room is unaffected from the smell.
I've been living with my sister's cats all summer long. She graduated from K-State and got a job in KC but didn't get her house until a few weeks ago, so for about four months I've had to deal with her three cats. There are pictures below, but I'll test your knowledge of how well you can tell a cat's personality. I'll write a little bit about each cat and you'll have to say which description fits what number cat.

Leeta - This is my sister's first cat, and it's a total bitch! It hates to be picked up and runs away from you whenever anyone comes near it. It also likes to hide in small spaces and just look at people.

Miko - My sister's second cat. She also got this one from a shelter. This one is the best to hold or do anything with. I can even grab it's head with my hand (a move called "the mask") and it doesn't care. However, this cat can't be alone. If it is, it will howl until someone comes in the room it's in and pays attention to it.

Sophie - This is the $1000 cat, honestly. It came from my grandpa's place and had a broken hip, so my sister took it to the vet. But it was worth it because this thing can do tricks! When you throw a scrunchy across the room it will actually fetch it and bring it back. Also, this cat doesn't meow at all except when it's really mad and it will squeek.

Cat #1

Cat #2

Cat #3

My father came home for a little bit and quickly went back out the door b/c he had to go to my sister's new house and fix something. However, as he was backing out of the diveway, he stopped his truck and came inside to eat a sandwich. I didn't realize any of this, but I look out the window and see that his truck is in the middle of the street. I thought he had forgot to turn it off and it rolled onto the street(I would have accepted that fine), but he said that all of a sudden he got hungry so he came inside to get something to eat. Even odder, when I told him his truck was stopping traffic, he was done with his sandwich and was watching TV.

Is this normal? At what age should I worry about my parents getting Alzheimer’s? Are any of your parents like this?

I got my shipment in from Japan today. It came in a Calbee box, so I was wondering if there was going to be any snacks inside, but it was only manga. Oh, the undisappointment. The full contents were:

Ayashi no Ceres 1-14
X 1-14
W Juliet 1-14 (recommended/ranted by Sarah so I decided to get it)
Wish 1-4
Magic Knight Rayearth 1-3
Kanashimi wo Konnichiwa 1-2 (it was only $1)
Fruits Basket 17
Tsubasa 9&10
xxxHOLiC 6
Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden 3&4
And a free copy of Angel's Pheromone!

I'm reading W Juliet right now and I'm halfway in the first book. I almost put it down when the first shocking thing happened, but was relieved when the other thing was found out. You know what I mean, all one of you.

On sunday I spend my two-week paycheck and bought DVDs and manga. I'll hold off on saying the titles until they get here. I've also been reading a lot during my boring bank job. From 3-6 everyone leaves and barely any customers come in, so it's ideal for reading manga. I've already finished 21 volumes of Hikaru no Go I got from KU library (there's actually 23 volumes, so no I don't know the ending) and more recently finished Kare Kano vol. 20 and Fruits Basket vol. 16. I heard that Kare Kano and FB ended in the weekly magazines back in December, but I don't know what volume that is. FB definitely has a lot more to go, but on the back of Kare Kano's vol. 20 it says that this volume is 最終章開幕. The first three kanji mean "last chapter" and the last two can either mean "raising of the curtain" or "opening/beginning". So I don't know if this is truly that last or just a beginning-of-the-end thing. It was sort of conclusive, but I would like to see more.

In other news, a girl that went to my high school and was two years above me and had a locker right next to my sister is in a reality show. It's called the Real Gilligan's Island and she's obviously playing as MaryAnn. She was in the line for the Bachelor tryouts when it came to KC and someone told her she'd be great for the part and she got it. There were 14 people on the island and now she's down to the final five. She's being portrayed as the bitchy girl that always complains, but it's more like she has the attitude of "I would never be friends with you in real life and the fact that we're on an island doesn't change that at all" which is why I like her. The final episode airs on Wednesday the 29th on TBS at 8:00.

Don’t like going outside unless I’m "ready for the day"

THREE CELEB CRUSHES:
I seriously can’t think of any celebrities that I like, as I don’t follow that at all. Now if it was anime characters, that would be different.

THREE PEOPLE THAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE TAKE THIS QUIZ NOW:
1. My dog (just because I think it would be cool if she had intelligent thought)
2. My sister (same reason)
3. Whoever

I don't know how I'm going to backlog everything. I could try to estimate the date things happened and do a backdated entry, or I could do a big entry (or various little ones) in the upcomming days. In Naka-Kon news, I recently googled Naka-Kon and I found a girl who cosplayed as a Snow Fairy Sugar character and she wrote up a very nice report of the day's event. There is even a mention of a "nice Tsunade." Rock it, Tammy! Anyway, she's <mizuno_caitlin>mizuno_caitlin and I plan to post under that thread, even thought it's well over a month old.

第十七話：吸え、ビズ！長くて、強く吸え！- Episode 17: Suck it, Viz! Suck it long and hard!

Initially I was shocked and angered about the Naruto license, but after a full night's rest I'm collected. Let me list the complete contempt I have for Viz.
- They never put song subtitles or translations on their opening and endings.
- Their subtitles aren't the best. Saikano's is pretty bad. And worst of all they've butchered the Naruto manga. Example: Naruto has been quoted as saying "I rule and you drool" and his kage bunshin is called "Art of the Doppleganger" and Ino's shintenshin jutsu (mind-body transfer) is called "Art of the Valentine" and Jounin are called "Journeymen." There is no excuse for this.
- The DVDs will be released with 3 episodes each at $25 MSRP/disk.
- There is, however, a boxset that came out with Inuyasha, but it was 13 months after the first DVD and the boxset had worse video quality than the individual DVDs.
- Inuyasha was edited on TV with shitty voices. This is a minor complant as I don't care about the dub, but it's principle.

But, even with the horrid subtitles at least I can watch it in Japanese without them. And at least AonE stated that they aren't stopping subtitling Naruto, so I don't think it will be that hard to get. I mean, there are still torrents up for Fullmetal Alchemist.

However, there is a very, very slim chance that Viz may not get it. ShoPro officially has the title and hasn't merged with Viz yet, but will in April. Most of ShoPro's accuired titles have been released by Viz. Sonic X went to Funimation. So, ShoPro could pass off Naruto to another American distrobution company. They said they were going to make another anouncement soon, so I guess I'll hold of any radical assumptions until then.

I took the $50 I won from Super Bowl gambling to buy Taiko Drum Master. Tammy and I broke it in after making cookies. The cookies were fine when baked, but the batter was awful. I guess it's one or the other when it comes to cookies, even though I know it's not. The game was pretty great. It isn't as challenging as DDR as Tammy and I could easily do Normals almost as we started. But maybe our DDR rythem helped us because Kristina tried it and didn't do so well... at all. The game also had sweet bios for the characters, like this one.

Donko - This lovely maiden was brought to life at the same Taiko factory Don and Katsu came from, and later followed them to Tokyo. She took too long getting ready for this game, so she wasn't included. Too bad.
Bathroom - We got a new toilet two years ago, around summertime.
Bathtub - Katsu and I don't use this room. Tetsuo and Grampa seem to enjoy taking baths.

The only other thing that would have made the night perfect is if we had saved our data.

I can't write anymore. My computer is going incredibly slow because I'm downloading all of Aishiteruze Baby which will take less than 24 hours. I hope I have enough CD-Rs.

Since the score was 14-14 at the half, I got $50 in this pool that my dad's friends do. I think I'm going to buy Taiko Drum Master with the money. <lj:music>Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - Precious Memories</lj:music>

Kristina and I decided to have a party on Saturday and I spent all Sunday recovering. We left up the Christmas tree and made it into a holiday tree and said that we should have a party each time we changed the decorations. We now have Valentine's day decorations, but I don't think that theme was carried in the party. Oh well. We forgot to make message hearts and put them on the tree. I had some good ones, too.

Through talking with Kristina and Tammy and Sarah's LJs, I've been piecing the night together. I didn't remember too much after the drinking game, but now think I have an idea of what happened. There was DDR, Naruto game, raiding Kristina's room, dancing to Gwen Stafani, and baby cake. I also think I told someone that they should steal something. It would help if I knew who I told that to so I could tell them to return it. I also said, "See, I've already stolen something because it's my house and I'm already home, so I did."

Damage report
- minor stains on carpet
- Crown and Coke soaked socks found
- Kristina's blood stains in a few places
- mysterious brown powder on Ryo-ohki

I may post as I remember more.
When I was working Friday night, a guy (late 20ish) came up to my drive-thru window lane on foot. This is one of the few things that I can't stand, plus the fact that he came 10 minutes before we closed made him the most hated customer of the night. He was smiling a little too much for my liking and was speaking really familiarly to me. Here's the conversation:
Guy: Hey, are you growing your hair out?
Me: Not really. I just haven't cut it yet. *says blankly as doing work*
Guy: Dude, you totally look like one of those Abercrombie & Fitch models.
Me: *tilts head up* uh...
